Jacqueline Marxen has established herself as a leading attorney in Real Estate Project Development in Panama, participating in the country’s most important and complex transactions. She also provides legal advice to the sector’s main organizations, including the Association of Real Estate Brokers and Promoters (ACOBIR).
Her experience includes advising on contract negotiations, contract drafting and revision, as well as regulation structuring for important and complex projects, including the improvements for various uses and components (residential, commercial, office, and hotel) on a single horizontal property, incorporating all the documents and contracts related to hotel and commercial operations, for promoters with national and international experience.
Likewise, in the Panama’s financial and insurance sectors, she has participated in structuring commercial bank credits for real estate developments, and others; in drafting the documentation for escrows, investments, administration, payments, custody, among others, and advising for their execution; in the review and drafting of texts for finance, advising, and claims presented to the public and private sectors, among others.
Jacqueline graduated from the School of Law of the Universidad Católica Santa Maria la Antigua (Panama, 2005). She has a Post-Graduate degree in Civil Law: Contracts and Damages, from the University of Salamanca (Spain, 2007), and a Masters Degree in Taxation from the Specialized University for Certified Public Accountants (Panama, 2010). She has also taken higher studies in Trust Management, at the International Banking Institute – Panama Banking Association; as well as in topics related to financial services, securities, and insurance.
